This page lists every cookie and piece of browser storage The Racing Formula uses, what each one is for, and how to change your mind. For the personal data we hold, see the Privacy Policy.
The first time you visit, we ask about two kinds of cookie, separately. Both stay off unless you turn them on:
You can change either one at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of every page, or with the button below. Turning one off deletes its cookies from your browser. We ask again after six months.
Your choice is stored in your browser under tm_cookie_consent, with the date you made it.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Sites also use your browser's localStorage, which works much the same way. This page covers both.
These make the site work, so they don't need your consent. None of them are used for advertising.

Our own servers set no cookies. Bot protection uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs in the background without puzzles; your use of it is covered by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
The site stores your settings and saved items in your browser's localStorage so they are there next time. Examples:

If you are signed in, your saved items also sync to your account so they follow you between devices.
We count visits with Simple Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Neither sets cookies, fingerprints your device or stores personal data. They count page views in total only, so they run without asking.
Google Analytics 4 shows us which pages get used, how people find the site and where it can be better. Its cookies are only set once you turn Analytics on.

Google Analytics data is processed under Google's Privacy Policy. With Analytics alone on, Google Analytics is not used for advertising.
The Meta Pixel measures our own Facebook and Instagram ads: whether someone who saw an ad visited the site or signed up. It also lets us show those ads to people who have visited before. We show no ads on this site.

With Marketing on, our server also sends Meta a copy of the same events (Meta's Conversions API), so ads are measured even when a browser blocks the pixel. That copy includes your IP address and browser type and, if you create an account, your email address in scrambled (hashed) form. Marketing also lets Google Analytics use Google's advertising signals. Meta's use of this data is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
The site links to other sites (Racing Post, Betfair, Telegram and others). Those sites have their own cookie and privacy policies, which we do not control.
