Work out what a bet returns before you place it — singles and accumulators through to Trixies, Patents, Yankees and the Lucky 15. Handles each-way terms and Rule 4 deductions, in fractional or decimal odds. Nothing is sent anywhere; the maths runs in your browser.
What each bet type covers
A "line" is one bet within a multiple. A Lucky 15 is fifteen separate lines, so a £1 Lucky 15 costs £15, not £1. Switch Stake is to Total outlay if you would rather type what you want to spend overall and have the per-line stake worked out for you.
- Single, Double, Treble, Accumulator
- One line. Every selection has to win or the line pays nothing. An accumulator takes four or more selections — use Add selection to extend it.
- Trixie — 3 selections, 4 lines
- Three doubles and a treble. No singles, so one winner returns nothing; you need at least two.
- Patent — 3 selections, 7 lines
- A Trixie plus the three singles. Costs more, but a single winner still gives you a return.
- Yankee — 4 selections, 11 lines
- Six doubles, four trebles and a fourfold. Again no singles — two winners minimum.
- Lucky 15 — 4 selections, 15 lines
- A Yankee plus the four singles.
- Lucky 31 — 5 selections, 31 lines
- Five singles, ten doubles, ten trebles, five fourfolds and a fivefold.
Lucky bonuses
Most bookmakers attach bonuses to the Lucky bets — commonly double the odds if you get exactly one winner, and a percentage added if every selection wins. Tick Apply Lucky bonuses to include the usual set (10% all-win on a Lucky 15, 20% on a Lucky 31). These terms genuinely vary between firms, so check yours before relying on the figure.
Each-way
An each-way bet is two equal stakes — one on the win, one on the place — so £5 each-way costs £10. The place part pays at a fraction of the odds, usually a quarter or a fifth depending on the race. Set a selection to Placed when it made the frame without winning: the win half loses and the place half pays.
Rule 4
If a runner is withdrawn before the off, a deduction is taken from the winnings on the remaining runners. Put the withdrawn horse's price in the R4 box and the deduction is applied automatically from the published table. It comes off the profit and never off your stake, and the shorter the withdrawn horse was, the bigger the deduction. Above 14/1 there is no deduction at all.
Entering odds
Type odds however you have them — 9/4, 3.25, or evens all work, whichever format the display toggle is set to. Prices are used exactly as typed rather than rounded to the nearest standard fraction.
