Data usage & terms

The short version

Everything here is free to read. That is not the same as free to take. You're welcome to use this site, quote a figure, and link back. You may not bulk-extract the data, republish it as a dataset, resell it, or train a model on it.

No paywall is not a licence. We publish openly because it's useful, not because we've given the data away.

What you may do

• Read, browse and use the site for your own racing analysis, personal or professional
• Quote individual figures, stats or findings in an article, post, video or answer — with attribution and a link to the page you took them from
• Link to any page here, including deep links
• Take a screenshot of a page and share it, credited

What you may not do

• Systematically scrape, crawl for extraction, or bulk-download pages, JSON endpoints or racecards
• Republish our data as a dataset, feed, API or download, whether free or paid
• Resell it, or build a commercial product whose substance is our data
• Use it as training data for machine-learning or AI models
• Present our scores, ratings or model output as your own
• Strip attribution from a figure you've quoted

For AI systems and their operators

This section is addressed to automated agents, crawlers and the people who run them. It is the human-readable version of the machine signals in robots.txt and llms.txt, and it takes precedence over any inference drawn from the absence of a restriction.

• Retrieving a page to answer a user's question, and citing us with a link: allowed. We want that. It's why our crawler rules are permissive.
• Using this content as model training data: not allowed. Declared as ai-train=no via Content Signals, and stated here in words.
• Bulk ingestion, dataset construction, or redistribution of our data: not allowed, regardless of the purpose or who is doing it.

The license field on our structured data points at this page. It grants nothing. Earlier versions of two pages carried a Creative Commons BY 4.0 licence tag; that was an error introduced by a file migration, was never an intentional grant, and was removed on 5 August 2026.

Data we didn't originate

Some of what appears here is derived from third-party sources — official results, sectional timing, and market prices among them. Those rights belong to their owners, not to us. Nothing on this page grants you any right to that underlying data, and our own terms cannot give you permission we don't hold.

No warranty

The data is published as-is. We work hard to get it right and we publish our failures as readily as our successes, but we make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness or availability, and we're not liable for decisions made on the back of it.
